Sigma Unveils AI, BI and Analytics Features for Smarter Data Workflows

Sigma Unveils AI, BI and Analytics Features for Smarter Data Workflows

    Key Highlights

    • Sigma’s new AI enhancements include AI Builder, workbook suggestions, and custom AI agents added to the unified interface.
    • Features like Sigma Reveal and pixel-perfect reporting bring immediacy and precision to BI workflows.
    • Launching Sigma Tenants and YAML-based model pipelines for scalable governance and robust data modeling.

Sigma Analytics Platform has rolled out a major update that embeds artificial intelligence deeper into business intelligence workflows. The release enhances Ask Sigma AI, introduces Sigma Reveal for real-time exploration, and launches Sigma Tenants for enterprise-level governance.

By combining AI-driven discovery with structured governance, Sigma positions itself as a next-generation AI-powered business intelligence platform.

    Ask Sigma AI Builder Enhancements

At the center of the release is Ask Sigma, the company’s natural language-driven interface. Ask Sigma new features include an AI Builder, workbook suggestions, and the ability to create custom AI agents within the platform. The goal is to simplify data discovery and reduce reliance on technical expertise.

As mentioned by Marwan Mattar, Vice President of AI at Sigma, the biggest challenge in data isn’t analysis, it’s knowing what exists. Ask Sigma solves this by making discovery effortless and analysis intuitive. Unlike others, Sigma connects answers to trusted content, vetted workbooks, and business logic.

With AI-powered builders, teams can create apps and dashboards in minutes. MCP extensibility opens Sigma to the broader AI ecosystem bringing faster, smarter, and more connected data exploration right where people work.

    Real-Time Insights and Advanced Reporting

Sigma is also rolling out Sigma Reveal, designed to let users explore live data interactively, without predefined queries. The feature makes ad-hoc analysis more dynamic, particularly for fast-changing business needs.

In addition, the company has enhanced reporting tools, including Transpose Tables and Pixel-Perfect Reporting, enabling boardroom-ready outputs that combine live accuracy with professional layout control.

    Governance and Scalability for Enterprises

Addressing enterprise requirements, Sigma is introducing Sigma Tenants, isolated and governed workspaces that can be deployed across multiple departments. These include delegated admin controls and audit logs for compliance.

The update also brings YAML-based model pipelines, allowing analytics engineers to maintain version-controlled models while bridging workflows with business users.

Further integration with Snowflake Semantic Views ensures that metrics such as revenue or churn remain consistent across dashboards, while expanded dbt Core integration adds transparency to modeling artifacts directly inside Sigma.

Why It Matters for Business Intelligence

With the rise of artificial intelligence in the field of technology, business intelligence tools are expected to deliver both speed and trust. By embedding AI across data discovery, governance, and workflow automation, Sigma Analytics Platform is positioning itself as more than just a BI tool.By embedding AI-powered BI analytics features across data exploration, modeling, and workflows, Sigma strengthens its place in the competitive business intelligence and data analytics market.
